The world-famous Royal Lipizzan Stallions will be visiting the area for some special performances next month.
The Herrmann Family Lipizzans date back 300 years, to a horse that was gifted to Ferdinand II for use in battle. In the early 1960s, the family brought the horses to the United States and have been touring and performing ever since. The beautiful white stallions perform routines to music, as well as performing the popular “Airs Above the Ground” battle maneuvers.
The horses will perform their magic at Tatra Farm 290 Shultzville Road, in Clinton Corners on July 4,5,6,7 at 6:30 nightly. Proceeds from the shows will benefit for the Therapeutic Riding Program at Hidden Hollow Farms Riding Center in Red Hook.
Their barn areas, at 290 Schultzville Rd , will be open for public viewing free of charge. Show tickets are $18 for adults in advance, $20 at the door. Children 12 and under are $15 in advance, $18 at the door. For advance purchase, call 845-758-0619. Or visit Hidden Hollow Farm Riding Center at www.hiddenhollowfarms.org
