Two Hyde Park men were arrested on hate crime charges after a street incident in Hyde Park Aug. 27.

According to the police report, victims said there they were walking in the vicinity of 9G and East Market St. when a vehicle passed them with its occupants screaming racial slurs out the window.. According to the report, the driver then got out of the vehicle and began a physical altercation with one of the victims, a 14 year old male. When another victim attempted to break up the fight, a second person got out of the vehicle and threatened the victims with a handgun. The two suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle.
was remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $4,000 cash or $8,000 bail bond and was remanded to the same on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bail bond.
