Staatsburg man dies after car-motorcycle crash in Hyde Park

A 68-year-old Staatsburg man has died after a collision between a car and a motorcyle Friday afternoon on Violet Avenue, Hyde Park police reported Sunday.

The victim, who succumbed to his injuries at St. Francis Hospital, was not identified pending notification of next of kin, the police said.

The accident, involving three people, took place just south of Brower Boulevard at about 4:20pm and Violet Avenue was closed while authorities investigated. Hyde Park Fire Department, Northern Dutchess Paramedics, and Mobile Life assisted at the scene.
