, 20, of Red Hook, was arrested Jan. 16 in the Town of Red Hook and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of a personal injury auto accident, all misdemeanors, as well as speeding and failing to maintain lane of travel, both infractions, according to a Red Hook Police report.
Police responded to a 911 call on an auto accident at the intersection of South Broadway and Hannaford Drive, the report said, and when they arrived, there were notified that the single vehicle involved had left the scene. A Red Hook firefighter who witnessed the accident helped police locate the vehicle on East Market Street, the report continued. Both occupants, and a passenger identified as
, 21, of Clinton Corners, sustained minor head injuries in the crash.
was then found to be intoxicated by alcohol, the police report said. He was processed and released with tickets to appear in court.
