Two charged after Staatsburg burglary probe

, 27, and , 26, both of New Paltz, were charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor, in connection with a burglary investigation in Staatsburg, Hyde Park police reported. On Oct. 12, the report said, the caretaker of a residence in Staatsburg, whose owner was out of town, noticed several items missing and other items in the house moved. The police investigation determined that over $875 worth of property was missing, including currency, jewelry, tools, and a Play Station.

After a lengthy investigation, was arrested Jan. 9 and arraigned in Town of Hyde Park Justice Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $500 cash or $1,000 bail bond. was arrested Jan. 15 and arraigned in Town of Hyde Park Justice Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bail bond.
