Felony charge for Saugerties man in Rhinebeck investigation

, 46, of Saugerties was arrested Feb. 11 in the Town of Rhinebeck after a Jan. 28 report of tires stolen from a Rhinebeck business. A State Police report said was arrested based on surveillance footage. In the course of the investigation, the report added, it was discovered he had been operating a vehicle that was not registered to him and did not have an interlock device that was required as a result of a previous DWI arrest. He also had revoked operating privileges in New York and 16 separate suspensions on 10 different dates, the report said. He was then charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Rhinebeck Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bail bond.
