A 15-year-old youth from Red Hook was arrested March 12 at a state-run juvenile delinquents residential facility in the Town of Red Hook and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, according to a State Police report. The defendant allegedly engaged in a verbal argument with another student on March 11 and used a pool cue to hit that student, causing injuries, the report said. He was processed and issued an appearance ticket for court.
