The charges involved reportedly forging and cashing $3,000 worth of checks, and police say allegedly turned into Haviland Middle School and fled from his vehicle on foot when officers tried to stop him. Further details were not available. He was arraigned and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $2,750 bail.
