On Sept. 25, the New York State Police and State Liquor Authority conducted an underage drinking enforcement operation in Dutchess County. Eighteen stores were investigated utilizing a 19-year-old volunteer who attempted to purchase alcohol under the observation of plainclothes investigators, supported by uniformed troopers. All suspects failing to comply with the state’s Alcohol Beverage Control Law were charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor. , 40, of Dover Plains, an employee of the Shell Gas Station at 2406 Route 44 in Pleasant Valley, and , 23, of Hyde Park, an employee of the Exxon Mobil located at 1502 Route 55 in the Town of Lagrange, were issued tickets to appear in court.
