The Red Hook Pool Board recently approved work on the pool to make it compliant with the latest American with Disabilities Act requirements. The pool will have new, evenly spaced steps with railings on each side, and a new lift system will be available to assist the handicapped with entering and exiting the pool. All work is expected to be completed in time for the pool’s opening in June.
Registration for the 2012 season has begun at www.redhookpool.org. Register by May 15 for the lower, early-bird rate. Information about the Red Hook Pool can also be found on Facebook.
