Burn ban extended to Oct. 10

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation issued an emergency rule that extended the burn ban until October 10. Data indicated that New York State was experiencing a high fire danger risk due to drier than normal conditions and the hot, dry weather will continue throughout most of the summer.
