Tivoli home invasion, suspects captured

The New York State Police (NYSP) at Rhinebeck have announced the arrest of four individuals with the assistance of the Village of Red Hook Police Department in connection with a home invasion that occurred yesterday morning in Tivoli: of Red Hook, age 19, of Tivoli, 18, of Red Hook, 17 and of Red Hook, 19 have been charged with robbery in the first degree.

According to the NYSP, at approximately 4:30am the subjects forced their way into an occupied dwelling in the Village of Tivoli armed with a camouflage handgun and a stun baton. The suspects then gathered the residents and forced them to turn over their valuables.

The suspects also stole other items from the home, according to the NYSP statement including a PS3, Macbook Computer, HP Laptop Computer, Ipod, 2 Air Rifles, Blackberry Phone, and a quantity of marijuana.

The occupants of the residence were released unharmed, the suspects were located and taken into custody without incident. Several pieces of the stolen property were recovered during the investigation.

The subjects were arraigned in the Village of Tivoli Court on robbery in the first degree with other charges pending and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash / $100,000 bond.
