Students at Red Hook’s Mill Road school will be participating in an Author/Illustrator Day on Oct. 22.
In the afternoon, they will be visited in their classrooms by a group of local children’s book authors and illustrators, who will make presentations and then answer students’ questions about the creative process that goes into making books.
After school, there will be a “Tea” from 3:30 to 5pm in the K-2 Library, where the authors and illustrators will sign copies of their books, supplied by Oblong Books in Rhinebeck.
The current list of attendees include: Iza Trapani, Durga Bernhard, Nancy Furstinger, Christen Prete, Susanna Hiil, Peter McCarty, Maya Gold, Melanie Hall, Ann Burg, Dave Horowitz, Giselle Potter, Lisa Thiesing and Tim Tocher.
