Red Hook’s ‘Ambushers’ win 1st place in Eskimo Run

Red Hook Cub Scouts from Den 9 in Pack 42 beat back the competition with their “Ambusher” to win first place overall in the Blue trail at the 44th Annual Cub Scout sled competition (similar to Klondike Derby for Boy Scouts) Jan. 19 at James Baird State Park. Webelos dens from packs across the Hudson Valley Cub Scout Council’s Dutchess District competed in 10 different skills categories and a sled judging.
