Tivoli mayor, village trustees running unopposed

All three seats in Tivoli’s upcoming elections will be uncontested.

Two seats on the Village Board of Trustees, currently held by Susan Ezrati and Robin Bruno, will be on the ballot. Trustees sit for a term of two years.

Mayor Bryan Cranna, seeking a second term in office, will also go unchallenged. The mayor is elected to a two-year term as well, though a brief attempt was made late last year to increase the term length to four years.

Uncontested elections are quickly becoming routine in the village. Last March, Trustee Joel Griffith, Deputy Mayor Michael Leedy and Justice Harold Clark all sailed into office without facing opposition.

The Village of Tivoli general election will take place on March 19 at the historic Watts dePeyster Hall village building. Polls will be open from noon until 9pm.
