3 charged in theft of golf carts in Hyde Park

, 18, of Poughkeepsie and two Hyde Park teens, aged 15 and 16, were arrested and charged with grand larceny in an incident involving stolen golf carts.

According to a Hyde Park police report, two carts valued at $9,500 were stolen from Associated Golf Carts storage facility on Violet Ave in Hyde Park June 15. Hyde Park police made the arrests and recovered the carts after acting on a tip from the Town of Poughkeepsie police department.

All were charged with two counts of grand larceny in the third degree, a felony, and one count of criminal trespass in the third degree, a misdemeanor, according to Hyde Park police. and the 16-year-old were arraigned and released on probation; the 15-year-old was arraigned and released to his parents.
