, 19, of Tivoli, and , 23, of Livingston, were arrested June 29 at 12:15am in Clermont in connection with stolen diesel fuel at the Clermont Fire Department, according to a state police report.
Following police surveillance of the fire station after a complaint by the fire department, the report said, both men were charged with burglary and illegal entry in the third degree, a felony, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor. The state police report alleged that over the course of several months, and , an ex-firefighter, stole over $1,000 in fuel from the department. They were arraigned in Germantown Court and remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
