Culvert to be replaced on Quaker Lane in Hyde Park

The Dutchess County Department of Public Works has announced it will be replacing the culvert that carries County Route 16 (Quaker Lane) over the Fallkill Creek in the Town of Hyde Park. The existing culvert has been identified as structurally deficient and will be replaced by a precast concrete box culvert.

The project is expected to begin on or about July 24, 2013, weather permitting, and is expected to take approximately three weeks. The culvert is located on the the south side of the entrance to Victory Lake Nursing Home on North Quaker Lane, approximately 1,000 feet north of the intersection with Netherwood Road/Crum Elbow Road.

North Quaker Lane will be closed in the vicinity of the culvert while work is underway. A detour notice will be posted for local county routes and Route 9G.
