911 call leads to Elizaville caller’s arrest on burglary charges

, 54, of Elizaville, was arrested July 24 in the Town of Livingston and charged with burglary in the second degree, a felony, along with criminal tampering in the second degree, theft of services, and criminal mischief, all misdemeanors, according to a State Police report.

The report said that called 911 and said that he was fighting with a neighbor. But a subsequent investigation showed, according to the police report, that had actually called 911 from the neighbor’s phone line and he had allegedly broken into the neighbor’s home, stolen items, tampered with the phone lines and was stealing the phone service. was arraigned in Town of Livingston Court and then remanded to Columbia County Jail, where he is being held until his next court appearance.
