Matt Parr, Johnny O’s both lead as regular men’s basketball season ends

With the postseason now in play, the Red Hook Men’s Basketball League ended its final week of regular season with the Matt Parr teams running the board.

In the A Division, Matt Parr Alumni handled Millbrook, 70-64, in a game led in scoring by Joe Stortini, and Matt Parr Varsity crushed the Slackers, 62-38, in a game led in scoring by Greg Nero with 24. Elsewhere in the A Division, Roosevelt beat Ryan’s Renegades, 77-57, in a game led in scoring by Connor Hart with 20.

In the B Division, Johnny O’s cleaned house. They beat Kingston Nissan, 62-38, in a game led in scoring by Mike Rogers and Will Wins, who both had 14, and beat Dutchess Beer, 64-47, in a game led in scoring by Ryan O’Han with 25. Dutchess Beer hammered Willie’s Warriors 71-30, in a game led in scoring by Justin Cooper with 21. Minnow Motels beat the Disco Ninjas, 48-37, in a game led in scoring by Chris Boehm with 17; and Derek and the Dominoes beat Flynn Electric, 68-56, in a game led in scoring by Derek Pinnelli with 30.

BFAS split the bill in C Division play, falling to Landworks, 52-49, in a game led in scoring by Tim McCann of BFAS with 19,, and beating Village Pizza, 40-32, in a game led in scoring by Mandy Fuchs with 11. Sheriff’s PBA beat Colonial Subaru, 48-36, in a game led in scoring by Brian Messmer with 21, and Raiders beat Christina’s Pizza, 36-35, in a nail-biter led in scoring by Josh Montinger with 12.
