Hyde Park man held on weapons, menacing charges

58, of Hyde Park, was arrested July 21 at 8:15pm in Hyde Park and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a felony, and menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor, according to a Hyde Park Police report. According to the report, the police responded to a 911 call and found the suspect in a parking lot. He was accused of threatening another person with a knife and was disarmed by bystanders as police arrived, according to the report. Hyde Park Police were assisted by State Police during the incident. was arraigned in Hyde Park Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 cash or $40,000 bail bond.
