Ruth Oja named Red Hook Rotary Citizen of Year

Ruth Oja has been named the Red Hook Rotary Club’s 13th annual Citizen of the Year.

According to a news release from the club, “Ruth has worked tirelessly to preserve our environment and is a model for good citizenship. She has dedicated herself to making our town a better place.”

The Rotary’s Citizen of the Year celebration will be held at a dinner/roast on Tues., Oct. 22 at 6:15pm at the Red Hook Firehouse on Firehouse Lane, catered by the O’Hans.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased or reserved by calling Niki Weaver at 845-756-5381 or by e-mail niki@frontiernet.net or from any Red Hook Rotary member.
