Four proposed signs for the just-opened Mobil station at the intersection of Route 9 and 9G have been rejected by the Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development.
According to information released at the Rhinebeck Zoning Board of Appeals meeting Sept. 18, the proposed signs exceed the maximum square footage allowed. One exceeds the maximum height requirement and three are designated as “roof signs,” which include canopy signs, and are also prohibited.
The ZBA did not have the required number of members in attendance to vote on the signs at the meeting. The proposal will be addressed at the Oct. 2 meeting.
