We are pleased to announce that on Nov. 20, we plan to deliver a free newspaper to Hyde Park residents.
The first print issue of the Hyde Park Observer will go into 11,700 mailboxes in Hyde Park, Clinton, Staatsburg and Salt Point. That’s more than 24,000 adults in zip codes 12538, 12580, 12578 and the Hyde Park areas of 12601.
Our first paper in print, The Observer, was launched in March 2012 to cover Red Hook and Milan and it expanded to add Rhinebeck coverage in August 2012. The Observer has met critical and commercial success, delivering high-quality local news, community and school sports coverage – for free – to more than 10,700 mailboxes every two weeks.
With the Hyde Park Observer, our coverage will now reach more than 22,400 mailboxes and more than 42,000 adults in Northwest Dutchess County.
Huge response to online coverage
You may have noticed that over the past three months, we have expanded our online coverage to include Hyde Park (town and school district) and also launched a Facebook page called the “Hyde Park Observer.” The response has been tremendous, and we have received many calls, e-mails and letters urging us to launch a print edition.
Like The Observer, the new Hyde Park Observer print edition will be delivered every two weeks with local news that readers won’t find anywhere else. We hope you enjoy it.
