The youth-run theater company NextQuest Productions, in special arrangement with Music Theatre International, will present the musical “FAME” at the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center in Poughkeepsie this coming weekend.
Matt Hagerty of Rhinebeck, who founded NextQuest Productions with three other school-age trustees, is the executive producer of “Fame” and said, in a news release, “What is so amazing about this show is that the students who came from all over the region to audition represented the same vast range of talents, personalities, and backgrounds as the youth who make up the group of performing arts students in the story of “FAME.” We have an incredible cast who … are incredibly diverse; all of them, though, have tremendous talent, and that is exactly what we needed with this show – the right corps of people who could take on the high-level chorography required to make it a success.”
Showtimes for the production, at 9 Vassar Street, Poughkeepsie, are: Oct. 11 at 7:30pm, Oct. 12 at 7:30pm, and Oct. 13 at 3pm.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by emailing tickets@nextquestproductions.org, calling 845-594-5579, or visiting nextquestproductions.org.
