A two-car collision on Route 308 near Route 9G this morning resulted in injuries to three adults, who were all taken to hospital.
The Rhinebeck fire department was dispatched along with Northern Dutchess Paramedics and police agencies at 11:28am and had to use the jaws of life to extricate one victim. Assistance from the Hillside Fire Department and an additional ambulance were then requested, according to a fire department news release.
The patients, two women and a man, were transported by Rhinebeck and NDP ambulances to St. Francis Hospital. Their conditions were unknown.
According to the news release, the accident happened when one vehicle, with two occupants, entered Route 308 from the southbound Route 9G exit ramp and was struck by a westbound vehicle on Route 308.
Route 308 was closed for approximately 40 minutes, with fire police personnel diverting traffic to alternate roads. Assisting at the scene were the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, State Police, and the Rhinebeck Police Department.
