Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot to benefit Ferncliff Forest

Ferncliff Forest in Rhinebeck will be hosting its sixth annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. The 5K race will start at Northern Dutchess Hospital and proceed to Ferncliff Forest along Mount Rutsen Road and back. This Turkey Trot is being held to benefit Ferncliff Forest and offers the community a terrific way to start Thanksgiving Day — with family, fresh air and a healthy 5K run or walk.

Runners and walkers can register online at www.active.com and will receive a free race T-shirt if they register before Nov 11. The fees range from $10 to $20. Late registration, for $5 more, and bib pickup begin at 7am Nov. 28 at 99 Montgomery Street (on Northern Dutchess Hospital campus). Only cash or check will be accepted on Race day. Chip timing will be used again this year.

Awards will be given to the top overall male and female runners and the top three finishers in all divisions. There will also be an award for the best Thanksgiving costume.
