The Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Village Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights on Sunday, Dec. 1 beginning at 3:30pm in the Rhinebeck Bank parking lot.
Activities include horse-drawn wagon rides with Gentle Giants 4H; also a host of other family activities sponsored by Daytop, the Rhinebeck Fire Department, the Rhinebeck Choral Club, the Rhinebeck Rotary Interact Club, the Rhinebeck Lions Club and the Southlands Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. The Little Creek Band will perform at 4:30pm.
The Children’s Parade of Lights will take place at 5pm with the tree lighting immediately following.
Samuel’s of Rhinebeck is sponsoring a raffle contest through Nov. 30 for the chance to win a ride in the wagon with Santa and Mrs. Claus during the parade, or a gift basket. Samuel’s is located at 42 East Market Street. Raffle tickets are $1 or 6 for $5 at the coffee bar, 42 E. Market St.
