Hyde Park man charged in $78,000 theft from fireman’s union

A Hyde Park resident who was treasurer of the Poughkeepsie Fireman’s Union was arrested Wednesday on a felony grand larceny charge.

A State Police report said , 33, was charged with second-degree grand larceny after a police investigation revealed he had allegedly taken more than $78,000 from the union’s bank account from 2009 through 2013.

was arraigned before the City of Poughkeepsie Court and was released on his own recognizance.
