Hyde Park woman charged with possession of counterfeit money

, 26, of Hyde Park, was arrested Jan. 28 after Hyde Park police responded to a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle parked at the Stewart’s Shops at 149 East Market St. According to the police report, an investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of eight counterfeit $5 bills, two hypodermic needles, and a spring-operated switch blade. She was charged with eight counts of first-degree possession of a forged bill, a felony, two counts of criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. was arraigned and released under the supervision of probation with tickets to appear in court.
