The Rotary Club of Red Hook will award two $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a two- or four-year college program.
Each applicant must be a graduating senior and a legal resident of the Red Hook Central School District, Pine Plains School District or Germantown Central School District.
The awards reimburse the students for any educational expense (e.g. tuition, books, computer, etc.) and will be based on academic ability (top 20% of class), leadership ability, involvement in community service activities, and communication skills, according to a Rotary news release.
A selection committee composed of members of the Red Hook Rotary Club will review the applications, and interviews will be conducted with the semifinalists.
Application forms can be obtained from the Guidance Office at the high school. Completed forms must be mailed by April 1.
