Local Boy Scout Troop 80’s spaghetti dinner fundraiser on April 4 was a huge success.
The fundraiser, held at St. James’ Church, benefited from a generous donation of sauce (enough to feed 100 people) from Coppola’s of Hyde Park. In return, the scouts and their families collected canned good products for Claudio Cares, the Coppola family foundation that helps raise donations for local food pantries.
Also contributing to the dinner were Price Chopper and Stop & Shop with donations of $25 each to help purchase needed items.
Troop leaders report that approximately 70 tickets were sold and 24 pounds of spaghetti was prepared and enjoyed. The scouts served the dinner, the scout families baked amazing desserts and, word was, fun was had by all.
