Red Hook and Tivoli cleaning up

It’s spring cleaning time.

That means grab those work gloves and boots and get ready to help the Village of Tivoli with their clean up day Sat., April 26 or the Town of Red Hook and the Red Hook Library in their Big Clean on Sat., May 3.

Tivoli’s work day starts at 1pm at Village Hall and bags, gloves and water will be provided. “Bring a friend, pick a street,” is their motto.

In Red Hook, the Friends of the Red Hook Public Library will be weeding and mulching the flower beds around the building from 8:30am to 12:30pm.

After that, it’s on to tackle the litter around town when the 6th annual Red Hook Spring Clean-Up starts at 2pm. Check-in is at 1:30pm at Town Hall to get assignments and supplies. The clean-up ends at 5pm, and there will be refreshments after at Town Hall.

To register or for more information, contact Town Clerk Sue McCann at or Robert McKeon at or 845-399-4582. To donate supplies, food and/or beverages, contact Micki Strawinski at or 914-474-3064.

If you can help at the library, call Loretta at 518-758-0404. And bring lawn and garden tools if you can.
