Rhinebeck to host ‘Historic Days’ along with sidewalk sale

The Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce plans to hold its Historic Rhinebeck Days in conjunction with the annual sidewalk sale on May 17 and 18.

Town-wide non-profit groups have been invited to participate by opening their buildings or setting up displays, exhibits and events off-site. Sidewalk, shop windows or interior spaces will be available for those organizations who don’t own a building.

According to a Chamber news release, most activities are scheduled for Sat., May 17.

On Sunday, May 18, there will be a guided walking tour of Ferncliff Forest and a first-ever scavenger hunt in the Rhinebeck cemetery.

Community groups with historical material who have not been contacted and would like to participate should contact Colleen Cruikshank at the Chamber Office, 876-5904, or Brenda Klaproth, c/o The Historic Rhinebeck Committee, at 876-2436 or bklaproth@ymail.com. A schedule of activities and a locator map of participating parties will be available from many businesses throughout the village.
