Tivoli mayor forms advisory cabinet

Village of Tivoli Mayor Bryan Cranna has announced the formation of a Citizens Advisory Cabinet to work with him and help promote dialogue between the Mayor’s Office and residents.

Cranna has appointed six residents from various neighborhoods and a Bard College student to sit on the cabinet, according to a news release from the Mayor’s Office.

In the release, Cranna said, “It is my hope that this Cabinet will improve dialogue between Village Hall and the community at large. I made a commitment when I first campaigned for mayor that I would listen to residents and base decisions upon the input I receive from those I represent. I am proud to be keeping this commitment.”

In addition, Cranna noted, “With nearly 10 percent of the village’s population being Bard College students, I felt it was imperative that this group be represented.”

Those appointed to the cabinet are: Vincent Roca, Jeffrey Scales, founder of JSA Financial Group and a member of Rhinebeck Rotary; Leslie Baker, Emily Majer, who serves on the village’s Watts dePeyster Historical Committee; Tivoli Free Library assistant director Christine Houlihan, and Bard student George Harrar.

The cabinet’s first meeting will take place early this month.
