Judge Triebwasser Elected County Magistrates President

Red Hook Town and Village Justice, the Hon. Jonah Triebwasser, has been elected President of the Dutchess County Magistrates Association for the year 2011 – 2012.

Other officers elected were: Vice-president the Hon. Christi Acker (Town of Pine Plains Justice); Treasurer the Hon. Frank Christensen (Town of Milan Justice); Secretary the Hon. Casey McCabe (Town of North East Justice) and Immediate Past-President the Hon. John Crodelle (Town of North East Justice).

Judge Triebwasser has been a Red Hook resident for 32 years along with his wife, Ellen. They have two children: Tom, 28, an electrical engineer with Lockheed Martin, and Alison, 25, a veterinary assistant.

Before ascending the bench, Judge Triebwasser was a police officer, investigator and prosecutor. He is a graduate of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the New York Law School. He is a member of the adjunct faculties of Vassar and Marist Colleges and is Vice-President of the Dutchess County Bar Association.
