Massachusetts man charged with felony after scam

, 30, of Boston, Mass., was arrested Aug. 13 and charged with felony grand larceny as the result of a month-long investigation into a stolen utility vehicle from the Town of Hyde Park, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. is accused of using the Internet to falsely claim he was a member of the Suffolk County Emergency Services Unit in Boston, and then picking up a $23,000 Polaris Ranger from a Hyde Park business on June 13 with a false purchase order and no payment. The vehicle was recovered in Maine on July 12, the report said. was arraigned at Town of Hyde Park Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
