Modified Hyde Park town seal approved

The new Hyde Park town seal no longer has 32 stars representing the 32nd President around its perimeter after the Town Board requested words to show Franklin D. Roosevelt’s renowned connection to the town. The new seal was approved on Aug. 11, and Town Supervisor Aileen Rohr noted it was a symbol that is apolitical and would “unify” the town.
