Hazardous waste collection set for Rhinebeck

The Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency will hold a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling Event in Rhinebeck Saturday, Oct. 4.

Old computers, televisions and other unused or broken electronics, along with a range of materials that include sealers, chemicals, flammable liquids and small non-Freon appliances can be disposed of at the collection site, which will be the Town of Rhinebeck Highway Department.

The event is open to all residents of Dutchess County; there will be one more this year, on Sat. Nov. 1, at the Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency in Poughkeepsie.

Pre-registration is required, and there is a $5 fee. Call the Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency at 845-463-6020 or visit www.dcrra.org to preregister and schedule an appointment.
