After 15 years, the Cocoon Theater is leaving its Rhinebeck home and moving on to Poughkeepsie.
The theater group will say farewell with an evening entitled “YOU SAY GOODBYE…” on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7pm at the theater, 6384 Mill Street.
The evening will feature the duet team of Chelsea Murphy and Magda San Millan with their new touring piece that mixes dance, theater and social satire, along with performances by Cocoon artists. There will be hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction of artwork by Cocoon’s Creative Director, Andres San Millan, and other surprises.
Tickets for the final performance in Rhinebeck are a $15 suggested donation. Pay at the door by cash or check, and bring a dish and a gift to share. For more information, visit

Cocoon Theatre is moving its office to 9 Vassar Street, Garden Suite, in Poughkeepsie, and for its 2015 season will hold performances in the historic Cuneen-Hackett Arts
Center.
A recent $10,000 grant from The Ellis L. Phillips Foundation will allow the group to continue to offer reduced tuition for individuals and outreach programming for schools during 2015, according to a theater news release.
