According to the New York State Department of Labor, unemployment in Dutchess County dropped to 9.4% in August as the county reopened. The unemployment rate in July was 12.5%. The pre-pandemic unemployment rate was 4.0% in March.

These numbers do not yet fully reflect the expiration of extended unemployment benefits and the end of small business support.
