Eighteen new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Monday, Oct. 5 in Dutchess County, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Sunday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 126, a drop of 31 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 9, an increase of 1.
There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 1,460 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 30%, hospitalizations were up 350% and there had been 6 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
