Twenty-nine new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Friday, Nov. 6 in Dutchess County, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Thursday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 238, an increase of 13 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 5, unchanged.

There were two new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 1,734 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 67%, hospitalizations were down 58% and there had been 5 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
