Fifty-three new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Wednesday, Nov. 18 in Dutchess County, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Tuesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 609, an increase of 33 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 37, an increase of 5.
There were no new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,451 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 238%, hospitalizations were up 208% and there had been 11 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
