Eighty-three new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Monday, Nov. 23 in Dutchess County, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Sunday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 640, an increase of 27 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 42, an increase of 3.

There were no new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,266 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 240%, hospitalizations were up 600% and there had been 17 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
