One hundred fifty-eight new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, Dec. 1 in Dutchess County, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Monday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 664, a drop of 8 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 64, an increase of 11.
There were no new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,190 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 93%, hospitalizations were up 236% and there had been 21 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
