One hundred twenty-three new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Wednesday, Dec. 2 in Dutchess County, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Tuesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 734, an increase of 70 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 77, an increase of 13.

There was one new death attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,343 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 92%, hospitalizations were up 234% and there had been 20 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
