One hundred sixty-three new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Thursday, Dec. 3 in Dutchess County, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Wednesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 790, an increase of 56 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 77, unchanged.

There were no new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,434 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 88%, hospitalizations were up 220% and there had been 19 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
