COVID-19: two deaths, 165 new cases, 6% positivity on Dec. 10 in Dutchess County

One hundred sixty-five new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Thursday, Dec. 10 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.0%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Wednesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1197, an increase of 95 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 90, a drop of 3.

There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,398 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 98%, hospitalizations were up 114% and there had been 25 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
