One hundred seventy new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Saturday, Dec. 12 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.5%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Friday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1,314, an increase of 50 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 100, unchanged.

There was one new death attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,509 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 115%, hospitalizations were up 170% and there had been 25 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
